Course Description:
Navigating social work ethics can seem like a maze at times. This workshop is based on a model for navigating social work ethical dilemmas that is copyrighted by the presenter. Participants will learn what the 5 pillars are that social workers should take into consideration with all ethical dilemmas. The presenter will share case examples based on her experience as a social work ethics consultant and social work clinician. References will be made to the NASW Code of Ethics (2020).
Social workers face ethical dilemmas on a daily basis. This workshop provides a model for social workers to follow for resolving ethical dilemmas. It does not replace the need for individual consultation regarding ethical or legal issues on a case-by-case basis.
