Course Description:

Implicit bias refers to making decisions, automatically and unconsciously, based on emotions and attitudes. This presentation will aid in the identification process of personal biases and how to evaluate how biases influence perception, judgment, and actions. Professionals will be able to discuss how implicit bias affects access to healthcare as well as examine strategies to mitigate the negative impact of bias. This course meets the current criteria for implicit bias training required in the state of Michigan.

*This blended course includes a 90 minute self study online module and a 30 minute virtual live session.
