Course Description:

Historical Trauma relates to the collective experience of a particular community or group that causes emotional harm based on a traumatic event or experience. In this course we will explore the collective experiences of African Americans since 1619 and consider the implications for practice in working with this specific population. This course will provide practical tips and insights for providing trauma-responsive, evidence-based and culturally-attuned interventions to clients.

Beginner and Introductory skill levels.
