Course Description:
Did you know that Alzheimer's disease is not the only form of dementia? Through research and clinical testing, Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) has been identified as a degenerative brain disorder that creates undeniable personality changes and deteriorates language and motor skills along with cognitive functions. Learn more about the "other" dementia known as FTD and gain insight into the challenges families and affected individuals face daily. Recommendation: take CES 4303 Fundamentals of Dementia Care first. This class is an elective to complete the certificate.
