Course Description:

 By understanding the physical and mental challenges faced by cancer patients the healthcare professional will be better able to provide holistic care to the patient. Attendees will gain knowledge of post critical illness syndrome and statistics regarding mental health issues. The impact of loneliness experienced by the patient in the hospital setting and the concept of “self-kindness” and how to apply it to oneself will also be presented.
