Course Description:
This course will review the NASW Code of Ethics, in particular, the NASW Standards for School Social Workers and examine how these guidelines relate to practice in a variety of school settings. Case studies and participant-shared situations will allow participants to practice research-based frameworks for ethical practice within the educational setting Pain Management will be reviewed as it relates to the school setting, specifically how it can be manifested in students with a variety of disabilities and conditions. Discussion, team activities, and video examples will be utilized to provide differential learning opportunities for course participants.
