Course Description:
The goal of clinicians who work with traumatic brain injury (TBI) patients is to help them live and function as independently as possible. The 2024 WMBIN Symposium brings together experts in the field to discuss key topics in TBI rehabilitation, including:
• Person-centered care
• Proactive management of chronic TBI, and
• The challenge of behavioral dyscontrol secondary to brain injury
All participants will benefit from the presentations on aggression and TBI, high-intensity gait training and marital instability after brain injury.
Attendees will be able to describe person-centered care, proactive management of chronic TBI and the challenge of behavioral dyscontrol secondary to brain injury, what works and what doesn’t. They will be able to identify strategies to manage aggression and TBI, as well as high-intensity gait training. Attendees will be able to describe marital instability after brain injury and whether divorce is inevitable.
