Course Description:
Alarming Black maternal health rates. Lack of health coverage for low-income Black people. Disparities in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. This course seeks to explore the reasons behind these medical realities by examining the historical and economic contexts as they relate to how US culture functions in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of disease in the Black community.
