Child Brains and Trauma: How ACES may Predict Development

Course Description:

Children who experience adverse events in childhood have a higher rate of developing multiple issues later in life, including health issues, development and behavior issues and mental health issues. Varying levels of abuse or negative situations alter the way a child's brain develops. Participants will learn about ACES -Adverse Childhood Experiences, which are potentially traumatic events that occur in childhood and how they may manifest into adulthood.
