Course Description:

1 in 15 children are exposed to domestic violence each year, and 90% of these children are eyewitnesses to this violence (NCADV). As service providers, we can support children and their caregivers. In this training, you will learn trauma-focused strategies for supporting children who have witnessed domestic violence. You will gain knowledge of specific therapeutic interventions for children of all ages and increase your skills for interacting with their caregivers. You will leave this training equipped with handouts that guide sandbox techniques and skills for communicating with caregivers.
