Strategies for Effective Supervision and Mentoring in the Child Welfare System

Course Description:

The first training is designed to provide social workers, particularly those who work in the cihld welfare system, the skills and knowledge necessary to ensure delivery of effective supervision and mentoring in the workplace.

The second training will offer information on the importance of addressing secondary trauma in the workplace relating to children and family in particular. Based on recent research findings on evidence based practice, various strategies to cope with secondary trauma will be discussed with attendees.
