On Genesis of Interpretation in a Changing Landscape

  • Live Webinar United States (map)

Course Description:

 Practice Gap and Need:

With conceptualizations of the psychoanalytic process being now more complex and ambiguous, it is necessary to reconsider our understandings of the limits to our capacity to directly know the psychic experience of ourselves and our patients and to explore how these impact the process of formulating our interpretations and observing the effects our interpretations have, especially when working with patients and psychic organizations that lay beyond neurosis.

After attending this presentation, participants will be able to:

1. Participants will be able to apply the expanded use of interpretation and other analyst interventions when working with non-neurotic states and patients.

2. Participants will integrate an expanded analytic understanding of non-neurotic patients and psychic organizations and understanding of the treatment process with them.
