Course Description:

Creating a culturally diverse workplace is more than simply hiring those of a different race, gender, or nationality. Employees need to feel safe, welcome, and free to be themselves within their work environment. More importantly, diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts need to be long-term, sustainable, changes. This presentation will identify the components that make up culturally diverse staff and discuss criteria that advocates for a culturally inviting workplace atmosphere. Additionally, barriers to gaining a diverse workplace will also be discussed.
