Course Description:
Bullying is a national and widespread problem, especially in school environments, including elementary, middle and high schools. Learn the definition of bullying and examine various types. Explore the characteristics of individuals most likely to perpetrate it and those most likely to be victims of it. Learn how to recognize the signs and how to reduce it, along with identification of prevention strategies. Understand the role social workers can play in the intervention of bullying in the community or within the school environment itself.
