Course Description:

This course describes the major physiologic changes of aging and the most common & serious adverse drug effects seen in geriatric patients. This course overviews the common and potentially dangerous drug-drug interactions in older patients. This course further discusses the main strategies for avoiding or reducing the risk for drug-related problems in the elderly and the main medication categories to avoid in older adults.
