Course Description:

This course discusses the common signs and symptoms of stimulant drugs including cocaine, ecstasy, and amphetamines as well as the potential chronic effects of stimulant drugs including crystal meth. The course reviews the clinical signs of benzodiazepine overdose and withdrawal and describes the typical neurologic and psychological symptoms of benzodiazepine, amphetamine, and gabapentinoid abuse.

The instructor discusses the likely clinical presentation of patients using benzodiazepines, amphetamines, and gabapentinoids as well as the common signs and symptoms of alcohol use disorder. Finally, the instructor discusses teh most serious adverse drug interactions associated with opioids, alcohol, anxiolytics, amphetamines and gabapentinoids
