A Day in the Life of a Foster/Adoptive/Kinship Parent

  • Live Webinar United States (map)

Course Description:

Widen your scope of understanding and empathy for the Foster/Adoptive/Kinship (FAK) parent by "spending a day" in scenarios taken from real-life situations. This course will strengthen your effectiveness as a licensing or foster care professional with the often forgotten or misunderstood client: your foster, adoptive or kinship parents. You can decrease home closures due to FAK parent dissatisfaction with workers, perceived or real lack of teaming and perceived or real lack of support from your agency. This webinar will utilize case scenarios, group discussion, and role-playing.

Beginning and introductory skill levels.
