Course Description:
University of Michigan Addiction Treatment Services will host a monthly discussion to inform and enhance clinical practice through the exploration of topics related to the etiology, prevention, and treatment of addiction. This will bring together individuals from research and clinical areas to foster multi-disciplinary discussion and learning related to substance use disorders. Specifically Dr. Heitzeg will present on The adolescent brain, substance use, and the ABCD study. Participants will understand how individual variability in brain development may contribute to risk for addiction and understand the goals of the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) study and the data available for analysis.
