Stop Creating Stories and Look at the Present as a Present

  • Live Webinar United States (map)

Course Description:

Beginning Level Practice

Stop creating stories and look at the present as a present. This workshop will explore how our primal instincts of fight, flight and freeze affect our thoughts, feelings and behaviors. It will explore how the human mind can think of the past, present and future. It will explore how the mind uses memory (past) and imagination (future) to affect the present. This workshop will explore the conscious and unconscious mind. It will explore how the unconscious mind affects primal instincts and can create stories using memory and or imagination. This affects sleep, energy level, concentration, focus and mood, i.e. anxiety, depression, PTSD symptoms and trauma responses. This workshop will teach participants how to stop creating stories by change unconscious thinking using metaphors, symbols, indifference, sight, sound, smell, touch and taste. This workshop will teach participants how to keep the mind in the present by decreasing primal instincts and changing the unconscious thoughts. Participants will practice using skills taught in the workshop at lunch and during the day. The workshop will help participants decrease primal instincts (fight, flight, freeze) and unconscious stories (danger or threat), so they can experience an increase in clarity, laughter, humor, freedom and energy.
