Course Description:

When helping patients/clients consider senior living options outside the family home, a chief question commonly arises, “Who pays for it?” Many people think Medicare or Medicaid will pay either the entire cost or a good portion of it, so discovering how limited these benefits truly are before they’re actually needed helps older adults and their families avoid confusion. This presentation will help attendees understand the facts about Medicare, Medicaid and Veterans Benefits. This course will further equip attendees to assist patients/clients/families on navigating through the process of qualifying and applying for the best option given their specific situation.
