Course Description:
This course is designed to educate professional service providers who provide care to individuals with a diagnosis of Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) and/or their family members and care partners. Participants will be taught the prevalence of FTD, average age of diagnosis and the three major sub-types of FTD. Common symptoms associated with FTD, including problems with executive functions, language and movement, will be discussed. Attendees will also learn ways to overcome challenges faced by those with FTD and learn caregiving strategies to help those affected.
