Course Description:

This workshop will raise awareness and provide examples of clinical tools for supporting LGBT+ youth across various systems of care, with emphasis on improving outcomes for overall mental wellness for clients/patients. Time will be taken to highlight barriers to quality care within youth-serving agencies, major psychosocial stressors, and protective and resilience factors for LGBT+ youth (teens and emerging adults). Recommendations for culturally-responsive strategies will be offered and discussed. The workshop will make time for discussion and Q & A.
