Learning Objectives:
School and clinical social workers will learn a “going for a walk” analogy to use with individuals as well as entire classes of students to help them understand the emotional impact of traumatic events and how the recovery process unfolds.
School and clinical social workers will learn a stained-glass window analogy to use with individuals as well as entire classes of students to help them manage the grief and loss process following traumatic events.
School social workers will learn how to implement a classroom or school-wide program (Growing Together), which promotes awareness of student growth and provides mutual support throughout the pandemic.
