Course Description:
Intervention for School Social Workers is one of three courses that are required for the educational component of the School Social Work approval in the state of Michigan. In this course the role of the school social worker in school based interventions is examined. Intervention for School Social Workers provides students with the opportunity to learn and practice the fundamental skills necessary to practice as a School Social Worker. Students learn practice theories and intervention strategies for use on issues related to crisis intervention and more.
