The central theme includes current issues on racism, particularly in the wake of increased violence, police use of force, and unrest on college campuses. Dr. Jackson speaks on the need to address shifting the thought from “achievement gap” to “opportunity gap” when explaining the differences in accomplishment along racial, ethnic, and gender lines.
