Trauma 360- Understanding the Impact of Trauma on Individuals, Communities, and Systems

Course Description:

This conference will provide information on the impact of childhood experiences and trauma on individuals, communities, and systems.

The morning session will cover NEAR- Neuroscience, Epigenetics, ACEs, and Resilience and HOPE- Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences, providing a solid foundational understanding of how trauma impacts individuals and prevention efforts and how we can create stronger communities by building up positive experiences.

The afternoon session will cover how professionals can incorporate trauma concepts into their own practice. First, we will examine how to build Trauma-Informed Systems of Care, and will then close the day with the training Help for the Helpers: Vicarious Trauma, Burnout, Compassion Fatigue, and Resilience.
