Lying to individuals who are important to them, is a diagnostic criteria for those with gambling disorder. This emphasizes the importance of recognizing the centrality of deception as well as self-deception in this disorder. This webinar will look at ways that those with gambling disorder engage in deceiving themselves and others as a way to protect and maintain their gambling behavior. This webinar will also focus on understanding the process of deception and self-deception to help those treating the gambler and those in recovery address unhelpful thinking patterns and ways to develop self-honesty and honesty with others.
