Course Description:

Boundaries are a set of guidelines and rules that set both the expectations and the limits for acceptable and effective behaviors. In the context of brain injury rehabilitation, boundaries help to serve to protect our patients, co-workers, trainees and ourselves. Failure to maintain appropriate boundaries can adversely affect patient care and/or team member morale. This presentation will address why it is important to set and maintain healthy boundaries, how to determine whether a serious boundary violation has occurred and how to address them with those involved.
