Many rehabilitation providers are not familiar with pediatric stroke and may think stroke happens, only to older people. If they have heard of pediatric stroke, they typically do not appreciate how its causes, correlates, and outcomes are different to those in adults. This presentation will describe the main causes and symptoms of stroke in children, as well as the overlap with other conditions, methods of intervention and treatment, and long-term outcomes after pediatric stroke.
