This course is the second part of a two-part series on "Communicating with Older Adults." Successful communication is critical to safe and effective delivery of services to older adults, but successful communication cannot always be taken for granted. This course discusses some of the special challenges specific to communicating with older individuals, and reviews some simple yet effective ways of addressing them, with special attention to studies that focus on hearing loss and cognitive changes related to memory and attention.
