Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital is pleased to offer Managing Chronic Pain in Children online virtually through the Mary Free Bed Education Academy. Pain is defined as the sensory and emotional experience associated with actual or potential tissue damage. Thus, pain includes not only the perception of an uncomfortable stimulus, but also the response to that perception. This presentation will discuss how amplified musculoskeletal pain syndrome is a common, complex and disabling condition. It will also identify successful treatments including a biopsychosocial approach with a multidisciplinary team.
